Objectives

  • To analyze the different elements that must be combined for the provision of rail-port services and to give the necessary training and information to those people who are going to decide and manage logistics chains in which the railway can be a profitable alternative by service, cost or time.
  • To know the infrastructures and equipment necessary for the use of the railway.
  • Promote the use of rail transport by disseminating its characteristics and particularities.

How?

  • Publicizing the concept of co-modality as a tool for improving transport management.
  • Offering the necessary training and information for the management of logistics chains in which railway services can be a profitable alternative by service, cost or time.
  • Analyzing and calculating the economic and environmental savings that can be obtained from the use of the railway, both in internal and external costs, as well as in risks and time.
  • Giving an eminently practical point of view: showing the participants the railway-port infrastructures, the logistic and transport operations and how they are developed.
