FAQs

What’s included in the course fee?

The course fee covers onboard accommodation, meals, all training materials, port and terminal visits, and certification. Travel to/from the departure port and any personal expenses are not included.

Is the course certified?

Yes. Upon successful completion, participants receive an official diploma from Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport, along with a digital badge that can be displayed on LinkedIn or your CV.

Do I need any prior knowledge before starting the course?

For the professional modality, some prior experience in logistics, supply chain, or transport is recommended. For the student track, no prior experience is required—just motivation to learn!

What documentation should the participants bring with them for the courses?

For the courses that take place on board, it is necessary for the participants to bring with them official ID documentation – for EU citizens, and ID card and for non-EU citizens, passports with European travel authorisations. It is also recommended to bring a EU health card, if you are European, or to have an international medical/travel insurance before embarking on the trip. Moreover, in the aftermath of the COVID-19, special procedures have been put in place to ensure the safety of all participants and on-board passengers. You can find out more here:

Does the course include a travel insurance?

The tuition fee of the MOST course does NOT include a travel insurance. The shipping company does have insurance, but it only covers accidents that occur in regular passenger areas (not including visits to the bridge, or the cargo area – workshops carried out as part of the training). The activities that take place outside of the ship are not covered by any insurance. Therefore, it is recommended to bring with you the EU health card (for European citizens) or to have taken out an international medical/travel insurance before traveling.

If you have booked further transits or trips immediately after the end of the course, the Escola and the shipping line is not responsible for any possible delays that may occur and that may affect the transfer to other means of transport. Please keep this in mind before booking your return trip to Barcelona (if applicable).

Do I need my own laptop?

It is recommended that you bring your own laptop to the course.

What do I need to bring for the course?

The course will take place over 4 days, so it is necessary for you to bring all the necessities that you will need during that time. The course fee includes all necessary course materials and documentation, but it is recommended that you bring your laptop to help you with the preparation of the presentation of the business offer at the end of the course (as part of the case study).
