Courses
What is your training offer?
The Escola Europea is present in Italy with two training projects: Formati al Porto and MOST Italy. The first is an introduction course, consisting of two intensive days where students will get to know the main players in the port logistics community and all its infrastructures, thanks to guided tours (sea and land) at major terminals.
MOST Italy (Motorways of the Sea Training) takes place on board a Ro-Pax vessels of our founding partner Grimaldi Lines, on the Civitavecchia – Barcelona route. Using its proven teaching method, it combines theoretical lectures with hands-on experiential workshops, guided tours in restricted areas that take participants directly to the transport operations studied, all thanks to the development of a practical case that participants will have to carry out in groups. At the end of the course, participants who have actively contributed will receive a certificate.
For a complete list of Escola courses, please consult the dedicated page: https://escolaeuropea.eu/training/our-courses/
Who are the courses for?
Escola Europea organises courses for two types of profiles:
- University students, ITS students and those in their final year of higher education with a course of study related to transport, logistics, circular and international economy;
- Professionals in the sector who wish to improve their level of knowledge of sustainable logistics and intermodal transport.
What language are the courses given in?
Escola Europea is proud to collaborate with experts and specialists from Spain, Italy, Portugal and France. As such, it offers courses in these four languages, in addition to courses in English (the official language of the Escola). In general, the material provided during the courses is delivered in English. For more information, please contact us.
What is the training approach adopted by the Escola?
The Escola uses a predominantly experiential approach in its courses, combining theoretical lectures given by higher education professors or specialists in the field with practical workshops that take participants directly to the places where operations take place. Using this approach, the Escola hopes to ensure that participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the concepts studied. Most of the Escola’s courses also include a case study, which participants have to solve in groups, putting the theoretical concepts explained and demonstrated into practice.
Who are the teachers?
The Escola’s instructors are members of the port logistics or transport community who carry out the operations they teach on a regular basis within companies. It is a central part of the Escola approach – to try to bring as much practical experience as possible to the course participants, and the teachers are a key part of this process.
You can see a list of the teachers at the Escola – each a specialist in their field – here: https://escolaeuropea.eu/training/the-centre/lecturers/ .
What do I need to attend the courses?
All that is needed is enthusiasm and a good attitude towards alternative modes of transport. For courses involving international travel, participants are advised to bring their identity documents (passports for non-EU citizens and passports or ID cards for EU citizens), once registration is confirmed simply turn up and enjoy the experience.
