About Us
Empowering the industry through education
Empowering the industry through education
We are a one of a kind training centre with an extremely interactive and person-oriented approach in pursuit of technical and humanist excellence; with a training programme that introduces the technical concepts of a port logistics community where maritime, rail, road and air transport play an important role in sustainable logistics, using a methodology that facilitates learning processes amongst the participants.
Founded in 2006, the Escola is still a young centre. At the same time it has followed a large trajectory in its lifetime, gathering diverse international experiences. Many students from across Europe, Africa, America and Asia have passed through our doors. We have also participated in numerous European and Mediterranean projects that have contributed to the development of intermodal transport as the basis for the development of sustainable logistics in Europe.
We stand out from other training methods and centres thanks to the combination of theory and practice, with real on-site experiences or through virtual simulated scenarios, allowing participants to practice what they have learned. As a result, the concepts studied are retained and can immediately be put into practice.
Thanks to our partners we have access to unparalleled training instruments: the port infrastructures and the vessels. Our collaborators, port communities and our technological partners provide us with knowledge, equipment and the experiences of their services and operations. They do so to promote their activities and give value to the logistics-port sector, which is consistently gaining strength through three main elements: its growing economic importance, job creation and sustainability of the solutions offered.
We have designed our courses tailoring to different levels of commitment and according to different budgets, ranging from short courses covering the essentials, to longer ones onboard vessels or trains, or even virtual courses where simulated scenarios give participants the opportunity practice their skills in a controlled environment. Keeping up to date with the newest methods, the Escola Europea has developed Port Virtual Lab; a complete logistics virtual simulator that offers technological and educational tools in which international trade, logistics and transport participants become employees inside a virtual cluster of companies that covers the entire supply chain and where they can simulate real life operations.
All of our courses and training share some common elements: coherent and comprehensive programmes, well defined and current contents, well-prepared and motivated lecturers, quality learning materials and practical experiences.
Overall, they provide life-experiences that turn into long-lasting memories for all.
We have a team of professionals ready to offer you all the information you may require and look forward to welcoming you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Eduard Rodés
