This course aims to provide participants with administration background in the Barcelona area with first-hand knowledge of the Port of Barcelona, its infrastructures, logistics equipment and operations and to allow companies in the sector, through the associations, to make known the characteristics of their activity and the professional profiles they need to develop appropriately.Find out more »
The general objective of the course is to raise awareness and provide information to the management and technical staff of port authorities that are part of MEDPorts Association on the following specific aspects related to energy transition:
- To understand the current energy situation in ports which drives the transformation of systems to more sustainable energy models in port-logistic communities.
- To get to know the international and European legal framework and the objectives established to promote energy transitions.
- To identify key elements that contribute to energy transition in the port and freight transport sector: renewable energy, energy efficiency, smart management systems and circular economy.
- To understand the role of port authorities and their actions as promoters of new energy models in their port logistics communities.
