Objectives

To provide training on intermodal logistics, short sea-shipping services and motorways of the sea for transport, logistics and international business professionals and students

HOW?

Improvement in Transport Management
Introducing the concept of co-modality as a tool for improvement in transport management.
Training
Providing the necessary training and information to those managing logistics chains where Motorways of the Sea can be a cost-effective alternative in terms of service, cost, or time.
Analysis
Analyzing and calculating the savings that can be achieved through the use of the Motorways of the Sea, in terms of both internal and external costs, as well as risks and time.
Environmental Policy
Providing information on the EU’s environmental policy in relation to the transportation of goods, the use and exploitation of infrastructures, equipment, and means of transport.
Course - Workshop
Conducting a course-workshop appears to be a good opportunity to achieve these objectives. Having the course held on the very ship that provides the service makes the perception more direct and real.

This course, based on an experiential learning method, combines:

Theoretical classes on topics of interest in intermodal logistics, conducted by experts and academics in the field.

Visits

Visits and practical workshops on the ship to observe logistics operations live.

Networking

Tailored networking activities, as well as collaborative team work.

Accommodation on board: 3 nights*

*Accommodation in a double/triple cabin subject to availability. Single cabin is available at an extra charge of 150€.

Materials and Diploma

Printed and digital documentation (in English). A certificate upon successful completion of the training.

Additional Information

There are services on board at an extra charge: WI-FI, cafeteria, a la carte restaurant, etc. During sailing, mobile signal will be by satellite at an extra charge.
