This course takes place in Portugal, and takes an experiential teaching approach to present the port-rail intermodality in key locations on the Iberian peninsula. It aims to analyse the different elements
that must be combined for the provision of rail-port services and to give the necessary training and information to those who are going to decide and manage logistics chains in which the railway can be
seen as a profitable alternative in terms of services, cost or time.
The course gives priority to practical training and is based on experiential learning. Terrestrial visits to specific parts of the port and on-board visits to a vessel are carried out, during which its main actors explain the operations in detail.
